This is a rare video clip from 1961 depicting the area around the old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station.
You can compare the landscape around it to see how different it is from now.
You'll notice that the bicycle as a mode of transport was common then. So, the air would have been much clearner then.
You can also sight trishaws. Was that mode of transport more common than taxis.
And there's also much walking around the railway station, which you see very little of, except for tourists on walking tours.
One thing you'll notice is there aren't any high-rise buildings beyond the railway station. The skyline was clear. No Menara Maybank of Dayabumi to dominate the skyline.
